A bit of badminton


I played badminton competetively for 15 years. It is a wonderful sport! Try it yourself!
It was within interval 1974 - 1989 (i.e. fairly long time ago).
First I played for Lokomotíva Košice (1974-78).
Then one year for Filozof Bratislava (1978-79).
And the rest for Slávia Trnava (1979-89).
I was ranked Slovakia No. 4 (in men's singles) once (81/82), No. 6 once (82/83) and No. 9 once (79/80). The rest seasons No. 10-15.
Now I only play regularly at Slovak veterans championship :-)
It is a hard tournament, everybody plays with endless enthusiasm, there :-)
In 2019, I won silver medal, there, in men's doubles (60-65, with Ľubo Budinský :-)
In 2021, I won gold medal, there, in men's doubles (60+, again with Ľubo Budinský :-)
In 2022, I won gold medal, there, in men's doubles (60+, again with Ľubo Budinský :-) plus bronze medal in singles (60-65)
In 2023, I won gold medal, there, in men's doubles (60+, again with Ľubo Budinský :-) plus gold medal in singles (65-70) 





  • Occasionally, however, I play also elsewhere. Against younger guys ...
