Research: Development and validation of the Restaurant game for measuring working memory (part of the master thesis)
- You are invited to participate in the research Development and validation of the Restaurant game for measuring working memory, which was designed by Bc. Michaela Dlugosova as part of her master's thesis. The research is carried out in person by Prof. Dr. Anja Podlesek at the Faculty of Arts in Ljubljana, Slovenia. However, it is officially under the Faculty of Mathematics, Physics, and Informatics at Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia. Furthermore, the whole research is being done under the guidance of prof. dr. Anja Podlesek. The purpose of the research is to gather insights into the validity and user experience of the newly developed game (Restaurant Game).
- If you decide to participate in this study, your task will asked be to play the newly developed Restaurant Game and take part in the Digit span task, Corsi block test, and multitasking task. Additionally, you will be asked to fill out basic demographic information, describe your previous experience with gaming and waitressing, and answer several questions about your experience during each of the tasks.
- The research study will take approximately 45 minutes. You will not receive any compensation for taking part in the research.
- Participation in this research testing does not entail any specific risks.
- Participation in this research testing does not bring any special benefits, with the exception of the knowledge and experience you will gain as part of the participation.
- Your participation in the research is completely voluntary and you can stop it at any time without consequences.
- We will do everything we can to protect your privacy. Record of your experience and accompanying demographic data will be stored under a research code. In accordance with the principles and guidelines of open science, the collected data may also be published in public repositories and accessible for additional analyses, whereby it will not be possible to link the data to individuals. Your identity will not be revealed under any circumstances.
